Diversity, equity, and inclusion focused assessment results and recommendations from a recently awarded Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Assessment grant project
To link the petition to "Reinstitute the Africana Studies Program" to the findings of two Diversity and Inclusion grant winning Assessment Reports by the Writing Center on ethnicity bias on students' writing and plagiarism, as well as the final report of the WMU Climate Survey
To publicize the suspension of the Africana Studies Program and support its reinstitution; to respond to needs of minority students on WMU campuses to have and take courses that teach them about their own histories and experiences
Promoting systemic transformational change, Dismantling institutional bias, Supporting WMU's diversity pillar on increasing Equity and Access
To further the aims of the self-study report, strengthen the petition proposal and the goals of the program; to reiterate the incongruence and irony demonstrated by the four years suspension of the Africana Studies Program; to follow through the AFS reinstitution petition; to design and conduct workshops and meetings for the Africana Studies Lead Team, faculty, staff and students to have their voices heard
Building on Diversity, equity, and inclusion from a previous assessment or self study
